Layla is simply one of the easiest Marksman to use in this game. If you recall, Layla is the first hero you are trained to use in the newbie’s guide. With Layla’s passive, you will be able to deal more damage to range target such as marksman or mages. Layla has the furthest range shooting ability compared to all marksmen out in the market right now.
However, Layla suffers from really poor Mobility as she does not have any movement skills like Moskov or Karrie. The lack of such movement skill makes her one of the prime target for opposing fighters, unless you are equipped with Flicker Spell. Layla is also inefficient in pushing or clearing lanes despite being a marksman.
Layla is a free hero that is given upon completing the newbie’s quest.
Choosing the correct Emblem plays an important role in ranked matches. Be sure to select the correct Emblem before starting the game.

Item Build #6 Magic Blade of Despair/Deadly Blade/Immortality
Situational based. I like to format my gear setting in this manner so that i can switch accordingly. Blade of Despair gives more physical damage and a boost in attack speed. Deadly blade is a counter for heal, which is useful if your opponent has an estes. Immortality helps when you just need that resurrection if you happened to be targeted.
- One of the 3 damage skills Layla. You might find it difficult to land a shot on experienced players due to its animation.
- Similar to Malefic Bomb but with shorter range and slow effect. Shorter range but guaranteed hit if you are able to cast the skill.
- Layla’s ultimate, not a fan of it but definitely an irritating skill for most experienced players out there. Due to its range and area of attack, many Layla players uses this skill to snipe escaping targets.
I don’t play Layla as much in ranked matches due to her mobility, using flicker would sacrifice either retribution or inspire which is really a heavy trade off. However, if you do happen to have a real tanky team which allows you to hide at the back, Layla would pose as a definite threat to opponents.
